Random Thoughts ... 11 - Chilling Revelation, Books & Ideas, and Blog Updates

Today's post is very important for me, as I wanted to share something very disturbing that I have been seeing for a couple of years. Although, initially I didn't want to share this but a recent incident compelled me to share it with the world. Then there are some updates related to the blog, ideas, and books to discuss, and an interesting incident. So let's start with the incidents first, as the subsequent revelation may be interlinked.

The Interesting Incident:

So, I joined the new social media platform 'Blue Sky' in January 2025 or so. I was exploring other options besides the traditional social media platforms like Facebook, X, etc., due to the fact that I will reveal later. I downloaded the app and began exploring. Initially, I thought it was old Twitter.  The environment, look, and feel were the same. I posted a couple of tweets. I got some followers, too.

Then the interesting thing happened. I got a DM from a lady. I don't remember her name. So, she invited me to join 'Illuminati.' I was like, so the Illuminati and these kinds of organizations are real. She said that if you join the Illuminati, you will get money, fame, influence, and a couple of other things (I don't remember exactly). I declined the offer, obviously. I mean, who wants to be involved with the Satanists and these obnoxious rituals, etc.?

She later deactivated her account, but I had saved the message for the record. I had always suspected that they had been following me for some time. What I am trying to say is that these kinds of people are sitting in every other organization. We need to be aware. The next chilling revelation is most likely linked to it.

The Chilling Revelation:

As I said earlier, I had been observing this thing for quite some time. But I kept quiet and wished it would go away. But it didn't, and this prompted me to write this article. Some black sheep at famous social media companies are manipulating the algorithm to create blasphemous and hateful content against Islam.

But before going into the details, first let me tell you what subliminal messaging is. "Subliminal messages are stimuli presented below the threshold of conscious awareness that may influence thoughts or behaviors. These messages can be embedded in visual or auditory content, often in advertising or media. While their effectiveness is debated, they are designed to shape perceptions without direct recognition."

So here is what I saw. The feed on social media is designed in such a way that obscene, derogatory images and posts appear just before or after the posts that contain Islamic content, such as Quranic verses, hadith, quotes, symbols, figures, etc.  Apparently, seeming benign or irrelevant, there is a persistent and consistent pattern of this practice across platforms, suggesting it is deliberate and intentional.

Some instances:

I have seen this pattern hundreds of times, if not thousands. And I have seen this across platforms, from Facebook to LinkedIn to Instagram. I tried to test this theory that other religions' content is also targeted, but I saw this happening only to Islamic content. You can see this when you slow down and pause on each post. However, if you are scrolling fast, they create a subliminal link between the content in the adjacent posts.

Read this article for details. If you want to know more about subliminal messaging, check this Wikipedia article.  I hope the authorities at these platforms will investigate the matter and punish the culprits of this hate campaign.

Books & Ideas:

So, I am reading: The Design of Everyday Things by Donald Norman. It is a very interesting book -  Simple and plain language with a lot of examples. It talks about the design of everyday things we use daily, e.g., computers, mobile phones, chairs, teapots, shoes, etc. I have begun to find how the design and structure of these objects affect our use.

On the negative side, I have found a lot of problems with a lot of objects in their design and structure. For example, the tab I read on doesn't have any grooves to hold onto with one hand. It should have. I have to stretch my palm to hold it, and it hurts! If you read this book, you will begin to notice these problems, so read it at your own peril.

Another idea that stuck with my mind was from the book: Spy Secrets That Can Save Your Life. It is a very helpful book. Everyone should read it. It tells you some very useful survival hacks. So the thing that clung to my mind was this line: If something happens once, it may be an accident. Something happening twice may be a coincidence. But if the same thing happens thrice, run, it's the enemy's action! For example, you see the car cutting you up twice, but that may be a coincidence; one more time, and you can be sure it is a deliberate action.

Then I read a brief eBook: Small Habits + Keystone Habits = Big Results! You can read it in one go. The main idea that is very helpful is that you don't plan for full-blown plans. For example, don't say that I will join that perfect gym from next week. Most of the time, the plan doesn't materialize. Instead, make a small change in your lifestyle. While you are waiting for the water to boil, you can do a few sit-ups or burpees. Use stairs instead of the elevator, or do a few bicycle crunches when you wake up, etc. The key is consistency.

Gaza Genocide:

The genocide is continuing unabated, and the world looks on. No words to describe how deplorable this situation is! May God help them and all oppressed people, e.g., Myanmar, Sudan, Ukraine, and elsewhere. Amen.
