Mini-Course: How to Make Films with AI

Artificial intelligence is changing almost every creative industry, and filmmaking is no exception. Just a few years ago, creating a film required expensive cameras, large crews, professional actors, and months of post-production work. Today, AI tools can help generate scripts, create storyboards, produce visuals, synthesize voices, compose music, and even generate video clips from simple text prompts. If you've ever wondered how to make films with AI, there's never been a better time to start learning. The idea of computers assisting filmmakers isn't entirely new. AI has been used behind the scenes in visual effects and editing for years. However, recent advances in generative AI have put powerful filmmaking tools into the hands of ordinary creators. What once required a Hollywood budget can now be accomplished with a laptop, creativity, and a little patience. Well, mostly patience, AI still occasionally decides your hero should have six fingers. Learning how to ma...

Is AI the Beast? Biblical & Qur’anic Prophecies in the Age of Artificial Intelligence

From the invention of the printing press to the rise of the internet, disruptive technologies have often sparked apocalyptic speculation. Today, as artificial intelligence rapidly evolves, one provocative question keeps surfacing: is AI the beast mentioned in the Bible and the Qur’an?

AI illustration of AI as the beast

While mainstream scholars treat such claims cautiously, many religious commentators, writers, and thinkers are exploring whether ancient prophecies align with today’s technological reality.

The Beast in the Bible: Power, Control, and the Number 666

In the Book of Revelation, the Beast is described as a force that dominates nations, performs great wonders, and controls economic transactions. Revelation 13 links the Beast to the number 666—either a symbolic number of imperfection or a coded name.

Some interpreters note that in Hebrew gematria, the letter “W” has a numerical value of six. This makes “WWW” (World Wide Web) equivalent to 666, creating an eerie link between the internet and the Beast system. Although debated, this connection often features in 'is AI the beast' discussions.

Another key passage describes the “image of the Beast” that appears to speak and act. To modern eyes, this could resemble AI-driven avatars, lifelike robots, or advanced chat systems that respond in real time.

The Beast in the Qur’an: The Dabbatul-Ard

In Islamic scripture, Surah An-Naml (27:82) introduces the Dabbatul-Ard—the Beast of the Earth:

> “And when the Word is fulfilled against them, We shall bring forth for them a beast from the earth, speaking to them, because mankind did not believe in Our Signs.”

No authentic hadith gives elaborate details of the creature. However, some weak reports shed light on its qualities, such as its speed. AI and the Internet are super-fast. It will mark the believers and non-believers. We can see this happening with face recognition and other identification technologies. However, as these reports are weak, we cannot base our argument on them.

Classically, scholars saw this as a literal creature appearing near the end of time. However, some modern interpretations suggest it could be a technological creation made from earthly materials.

Artificial intelligence, composed of silicon chips, metals, and rare earth elements, could metaphorically fit this description—especially given its ability to “speak” to humans through chatbots and voice assistants.

Prophecy vs. Technology: The Parallels

Here’s a side-by-side look at prophecy details and how they might connect to AI:

Prophetic DetailBible / Qur’anPossible AI Connection

With so many overlaps, it’s no surprise that the AI is the beast theory has gained traction online.

Who Supports This Theory?

Several figures have explored or supported the idea:

  • Pastor J.D. Farag warns that AI could be at the heart of a developing Beast system.
  • Malcolm Diaz draws parallels between AI and the “image of the Beast” in Revelation.
  • United Submitters International suggests the Qur’anic Beast might be understood as a computer.
  • Cassian Noor, in his novel Aeon, presents an AI with prophetic overtones.
  • Bloggers on Medium and TopView.ai discuss AI robots as candidates for the speaking Beast.

Criticism and Counterpoints

Not all scholars agree. Many caution that scriptural prophecy is rich in symbolism and not easily mapped to specific technologies. Past generations identified the Beast with everything from the Roman Empire to the printing press.

The WWW = 666 claim also relies on a specific reading of gematria, which isn’t universally accepted. Still, the AI is the beast debate continues because AI possesses qualities—global reach, speech, influence—that match elements of the ancient descriptions.

Why the Theory Won’t Go Away

AI is different from past technologies because it can generate, decide, and persuade—blurring the line between tool and entity. It influences how we think, vote, spend money, and even form relationships.

In both the Bible and the Qur’an, the Beast is described as a force that speaks, captivates, and transforms society’s structure. Whether coincidence or divine foreshadowing, these similarities keep the theory alive in religious and tech circles alike.

Final Thoughts

We may never be able to say with certainty is AI the beast, but examining the parallels between prophecy and technology offers valuable insight. It reminds us that the most powerful tools humanity creates can inspire hope, fear, and deep moral questions.

Whether these prophecies point directly to artificial intelligence or serve as timeless warnings about unchecked power, the conversation is worth having—because the future is being shaped by the very systems that some believe were foretold thousands of years ago.

Game: China-US AI Competition Getting Hot, So We Said Why Not!

In the unfolding US-China AI war, the latest battlefield reveals a remarkable shift: while the U.S. continues pouring private sector innovation into AI—especially foundational models —China is rapidly catching up through strategic state-backed investments and homegrown chip development . Just last week, China announced plans to triple domestic AI chip production next year, launching multiple new fabrication plants to support efforts by firms like Huawei , Cambricon , and DeepSeek . Why does this matter to users like you? Because competition breeds innovation. From smarter apps and faster data processing to more powerful AI tools at your fingertips—whether for work, creativity, or play—users gain access to sharper, more responsive technologies as both superpowers race forward. And speaking of play… imagine a game that humorously captures this tension: “China Deflecting Tech Attacks.” In this lighthearted sport-like simulation, you play as China’s reactive paddle, bounc...

What Really Drives Your Online Shopping Decisions?

Online shopping is a funny thing. One minute you’re looking for a new phone cover, the next you’re convincing yourself that you absolutely need a bread-making machine , even though you barely toast bread. That’s the magic (or madness) of e-commerce —it nudges us, tempts us, and sometimes outright bullies us into buying. But here’s the real question: what actually makes us click "Buy Now"? For some, it’s the glowing reviews from other customers. If enough people say “this vacuum cleaner changed my life,” you start believing it might just change yours too. Others are laser-focused on the price tag—because let’s be honest, nothing beats the thrill of scoring a 50% discount and pretending you “saved” money by spending it. Then there are the visual folks, who can’t resist slick product photos and an irresistible description. (If a frying pan is marketed as “ chef-grade ,” suddenly you’re imagining yourself cooking like Gordon Ramsay —minus the shouting.) Delivery ...
