Mini-Course: How To Speak Pashto - Lesson 3 "This is"

In this lesson of our Pashto mini-course, we focus on one of the most important and beginner-friendly grammar rules in Pashto: using “Da … de” to say “This is …”. Mastering this structure is a key milestone in How to speak Pashto , because it allows you to describe objects, places, and people from day one. In English, we say, “This is a house.” In Urdu, the equivalent is “Yeh ghar hai.” In Pashto, the same idea is expressed as “Da kor de.” Here, “Da” means this, “kor” means house, and “de” (pronounced like day but with a soft 'D' as in fa th er) works like is. This sentence structure is extremely common in everyday Pashto conversations and forms the foundation of Pashto language basics. Pashto also has masculine and feminine nouns , just like Urdu. For masculine nouns, we commonly use “de”, while feminine nouns often use “da” depending on context and dialect. At the beginner level, focusing on commonly used masculine examples helps learners build confidence ...

Hate Campaign Against Islam

Here are some screenshots that show that some black sheep at social media companies are deliberately indulging in malicious anti-Islam, Islamophobic activities by altering the algorithm. This involves juxtaposing Islamic holy sites, personalities, symbols, and quotes with dog pictures, etc. I doubt the people in higher echelons are unaware of this. Let's see one-by-one:

Duolingo:

I naively joined Duolingo to learn different languages. I hardly knew what was going on behind the scenes. It started when I started learning Arabic. Then something suspicious happened. I got a message from Duolingo that we have updated the Arabic course. This is what happened next:

This is from Duolingo. I could hardly believe it when I listened to the recorded phrase. Is there any justification for this?

I thought maybe this was a coincidence. But I stopped at what I read next, juxtaposing the name Muhammad and the circled word together. Is there any logical explanation?

Facebook:

The following posts are from Facebook. Again, juxtaposed the Islamic posts with the image of dogs. I don't like dogs; if someone might be thinking that I may have liked posts having dogs, that is why the algorithm is showing dog images. I didn't like any dog post ever. So there is no chance that the algorithm is showing this by mistake.

Here is another FB post juxtaposing an Islamic symbol next to a dog's image. Only the person living under a rock doesn't know that this is one of the holiest sites for Muslims.

Here is another FB post juxtaposing an Islamic post next to a dog's image.

Another, if someone might be thinking that this may be accidental or unintentional. I have been seeing this pattern on all major social media platforms. And I have been seeing this for a few years now. I have taken screenshots, so there is evidence of everything.

Another one! The saying of Imam Ali is next to that circled image. A deliberate, malicious effort to hurt Muslims' feelings.

Again, with an Islamic symbol next to this image.

Is this a mistake!

Instagram:

Now let's come to Instagram. If those images on FB were by chance, the situation isn't very different on Instagram either.

Deliberate consistent effort across platforms to juxtapose blasphemous images with Islamic symbols, quotes, verses, hadith, etc. I guess that is because Facebook and Instagram are owned by a single company.

Here is another disturbing post. I don't say that these IG users did this intentionally. It is the algorithm that is at play.

LinkedIn:

This is LinkedIn, but the pattern is the same. Again, I don't like dog posts anywhere (because I don't like dogs.)

This is LinkedIn. Let me remind you!

This is LinkedIn, but the pattern is the same.

If there is any doubt, it should have been cleared now. The Islamic quote is next to the dog's image.

If other users look carefully, they may find this pattern in their feeds. Some elements at these platforms are INTENTIONALLY and MALICIOUSLY doing this nefarious activity by altering the algorithm. I don't expect that these companies would be interested in investigating this. I wrote an email to FB, but didn't get any reply.

I tried to find if this is something done to other religions' holy sites and figures. But I couldn't find any such post for religions other than Islam.

I don't know whose tail I have stepped on unintentionally that got them so infuriated that they have stooped this low! I hope the authorities at these platforms will take action against these abominable people.

P.S. The people whose posts have been screenshot may not be aware of this; it is the algorithm that is being used to juxtapose these images and Islamic posts together.
