Mini-course: Free Cyber Security Short Course for The AI Era

Cybersecurity used to sound like something only big tech companies worried about. Now? It’s everyone’s problem. According to recent global reports, cyberattacks happen every few seconds, and billions of passwords and personal records are leaked online every year. Yes, somewhere out there, a hacker is probably trying “123456” on someone’s account right now… and unfortunately, it still works more often than it should. That’s exactly why learning the basics of online safety is no longer optional. This cybersecurity free course is designed to help everyday internet users understand how to stay safe online without drowning in technical jargon. Whether you use social media, online banking, cloud storage, or just spend too much time clicking random links at 2 AM, basic cybersecurity knowledge can save you from scams, phishing attacks, fake AI deepfakes, malware, and identity theft. The internet is amazing, but let’s be honest - it’s also full of people trying to “kindly verify your account...

Random, 3 AM Thoughts

It’s 3 AM and I’m wide awake for no reason at all, so I thought… why not dump whatever’s sitting in my brain right now?

1. Comfort zone talk.
I commented on a post on LinkedIn about the whole “nothing grows in your comfort zone” slogan. People love repeating it like a motivational ringtone. But honestly? I disagree. When it’s a blazing hot summer day, we literally bring delicate plants inside so they don’t shrivel and die. Same logic. When life is hitting you with super tough conditions, it’s okay, actually smart, to recoil back into your comfort zone for a bit.

I follow this guy on Facebook (found him through Coursera) and he said something that made so much sense, especially if you’re a shy person. His strategy: step out of your comfort zone and do something challenging, but don’t overstretch. If it gets too overwhelming, retreat. Then next time, push a little further. That’s how your comfort zone expands without you burning out or collapsing like a collapsing Jenga tower.

2. Likes, reacts, and the silent party.
I was also thinking about how some people get tons of likes on their posts, and others barely get any. We really should be more generous. Just imagine you’re at a party and someone says something… and the whole room just ignores them. Awkward. Meanwhile, some people sneeze and everyone claps. What kind of party is that?

And no, I’m not saying this because I don’t get likes. I genuinely don’t expect any. But reacting generously is just humane, and bonus: great for your algorithm. You appear in more feeds, your reach grows, everyone wins. I’m so generous with my likes that sometimes I think LinkedIn might ban me for suspicious kindness.

3. Sudan and Gaza.
It’s heartbreaking to see what’s happening in Sudan. They really need support. And Gaza… people there need rehabilitation, assistance, basic humanity. It’s heavy to think about, but it’s reality.

4. A cool AI tool I tried.
Found a useful tool: botjam.ai. I used it while working on that Pomodoro timer and honestly, it’s pretty solid. It has three bots; BotJam (a regular chat bot), BotJamGPT (their ChatGPT equivalent, surprisingly powerful), and an AI agent that can manage your computer files. I tested it… and yep, works like a charm.

5. Learning languages with AI.
I’m using AI to learn a bunch of regional languages in Pakistan, plus Saudi Arabic, Chinese, and also to polish my English. It’s super convenient, but pronunciation still gets me sometimes. Transliteration helps, but sometimes you just need to hear how a word sounds. I really hope future AI updates let us generate audio clips directly inside GPT.

Game: China-US AI Competition Getting Hot, So We Said Why Not!

In the unfolding US-China AI war, the latest battlefield reveals a remarkable shift: while the U.S. continues pouring private sector innovation into AI—especially foundational models —China is rapidly catching up through strategic state-backed investments and homegrown chip development . Just last week, China announced plans to triple domestic AI chip production next year, launching multiple new fabrication plants to support efforts by firms like Huawei , Cambricon , and DeepSeek . Why does this matter to users like you? Because competition breeds innovation. From smarter apps and faster data processing to more powerful AI tools at your fingertips—whether for work, creativity, or play—users gain access to sharper, more responsive technologies as both superpowers race forward. And speaking of play… imagine a game that humorously captures this tension: “China Deflecting Tech Attacks.” In this lighthearted sport-like simulation, you play as China’s reactive paddle, bounc...
