While living in the fascinating era of AI, it often feels like some imaginative sci-fi movie has turned into reality, or as if we have been teleported to some fictional land where imagination is the only true superpower one could have. If you can imagine it, you can have it in a flash of moment. This is truly mesmerizing!
Let’s get a bit realistic about AI and ask a genuine question. Is AI flawless?
Simply no. It makes mistakes all the time. Sometimes, less critical ones. Sometimes, complete blunders.
Now, I have a question for you. What is your reaction when your AI assistant (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or any other) makes silly mistakes? Let me guess. It takes you to an emotional rollercoaster of frustration, anger, and anxiety! What if I tell you that you are not alone?

| The main character, “Courage” from the “Courage the Cowardly Dog” series |
The main character “Courage” from the cartoon series “Courage the Cowardly Dog” had undergone a similar yet some of the wildest emotional rollercoaster while talking about his problems to his PC. Here are some glimpses:
Courage, the dog character typing madly to get its problems solved…doesn't it actually represent us with our AI assistants
His restless typing!
He is reviewing the AI response, with all his focus and attention!
He got very annoyed as his AI assistant was not getting what he meant!
His frustration and anxiety level as he left self-learning and was totally dependent on his computer and have just realized that technology isn't that reliable yet!
And, seems like he has learnt prompt engineering! He is relaxed that the only thing at his end is giving his AI assistant a slightly better prompt.
This childhood sci-fi cartoon has left me in an endless wonder how some animated series from 1999 so accurately depict what we actually experience while interacting with fascinating yet not perfect AI. Was it just an entertainment, or an aperture to our future?
What could we learn from this innocent dog?
Throughout this adventurous series, every time Courage somehow managed to protect his guardians, Muriel and Eustace. This teaches us a life-long lesson that we as humans better understand one another than any smart machine or software. Plus, we should never ever underestimate our intellectual ingenious, and never let ourselves totally rely on some pseudo-intelligent technology.
